10 Hilarious But Utterly Game Breaking Glitches

6. Where's The Boss? - Bubble Bobble Revolution

In Bubble Bobble, you play as two bubble-spewing dragons called Bub and Bob. To complete each level, you need to trap all the enemies on the screen in bubbles before popping them. This simple and fun gameplay made Bubble Bobble a massive hit in arcades and it spawned over a dozen sequels including the iconic spin-off, Puzzle Bobble.

When the company, Taito, announced a sequel for the Nintendo DS called Bubble Bobble Revolution, fans were stoked... until they actually played the game. Not only did it have outdated graphics and uncreative gameplay, it had an unavoidable glitch that stopped the player dead in their tracks. For the boss battle on the 30th level, the developers forgot one simple thing... the boss. When you reach this stage, there is no boss to defeat so you can't move onto to the next level, meaning you can never win the game.

The only way the developers could've missed this colossal defect is if none of them played Revolution in its entirety (which is understandable because the game kinda sucks.) Taito did eventually patch the game and were nice enough to include Rainbow Islands Revolution for free.
