10 Hilarious But Utterly Game Breaking Glitches

4. Falling - Marvel's The Avengers

When the Avengers's beta was released, it was clear the game was far from ready. Despite being littered with bugs, the developers reassured the gaming community that the game would be good to go on its release date.

However, they decided to go in a different direction and... not do that. Despite being built up as the definitive Avengers game, this role-playing brawler was let down by uninspired mechanics, repetitive combat, and rampant bugs. Much like the heads of Hydra, every time the company tried to patch one bug, two more seem to sprout out in its place. When these concerns were made, the company vowed to update the game to fix "thousands of glitches". (Okay, if a game has thousands of glitches to begin with, there's a serious problem.)

One of the most frustrating errors is when your character falls through the ground, causing them to plummet into oblivion. If you save during your descent, you'll be trapped in a permanent fall, forcing you to restart the game.

Although this was patched, one problem persisted which caused a plummeting animation to activate in characters at random intervals. There's nothing funnier than watching the Hulk or Thor falling in terror... while standing still.
