As the old expression goes, "Be careful what you wish for". Whilst this might have proven to be a curse to ol' King Midas, turns out the same can be applied to young Lara Croft too.

The Tomb Raider games have always been steeped in mythology and tales of old, conveniently refitted to suit whatever adventures Ms. Croft goes on. Such as in the first game, when she visits the temple of the fabled Greek king.

Legend has it that Midas wished for anything he touched would turn to gold. This proved to be his undoing, when it transpired everything he touched turned into the desirable metal. Even his daughter.

So you'd think Lara would be more mindful whilst on her mission to turn lead into gold, right?
