One of the biggest problems Nintendo has faced over the years has been dealing with bootleggers who alter very littler about its IP by slapping some different sprites on them with slightly different music but otherwise keeping the game pretty much the same. It's easy from a programming perspective, but it's lazy and theft.

One game that gave it a shot was Monino Save Story, which was designed for the iPhone. The app is now banned, and that's probably due to the fact that it's a complete clone of Super Mario World with very little changed to even try at making it different enough to survive.

The game centers on the adventures of "Monino," who must save his brother "Story" from the evil "Bowler," and you can rest assured there are turtles to stomp. Monino has to jump up and hit bricks, collect coins hanging in the air, and score power-ups by hitting blocks with a "?" which begs the question, why didn't they use an exclamation point?

As the game progressed, the sprites lazily reverted right back to the original, so there wasn't much done to ensure this stayed on the App Store for very long. It's not easy to find screenshots or video of this game, as it was quickly taken offline.
