Super Mario Bros. was a revolutionary game when it first came out, and while there are tons of clones of the game, most tend to favor certain aspects of gameplay that set them apart — albeit only slightly — from the original game.

Whether it's a changed sprite, some minor gameplay tweaks, or something hardly noticeable, there are changes made to most hacks, clones, and rip-offs, but few are as bold as Otaku Dash, which is a despicably horrible little game that came out on the iPhone back in 2013.

The game is clearly inspired by the original Super Mario Bros., but it does take some liberties with quite a lot. It has coins and bricks — even "?" blocks, but instead of Mario or Luigi, it features a man with a cape and a woman with a ponytail and pink dress with an apron, both of whom look half the size they should.

The animation is horrible, the gameplay absolutely sucks, and you occasionally leave large piles of what can only be poop whenever you jump, though it's unclear if this is a good thing or a bad thing. The game is hard to find, but there's some gameplay footage on YouTube that's worth a look.
