10 Honest Truths Xbox One Owners Realise After Buying A PS4

1. It's Expensive (And Overwhelming)

It's not all sunshine and rainbows when it comes to owning both competing, current generation consoles. There's one place you're going to feel that the most, other than on your time management skills, and it's your wallet.

Think about how long, and how much money it took to get your gaming library to a respectable size after you first bought your console. Now, years into the console's life cycle, there's a ton of games out there to pick up all at once, which is not going to come cheap if you decide you want it all now. Not to mention if you opt into all those PlayStation extras previously covered on this list, you'll find yourself paying hand over fist.

For example, the PS4 over this past holiday season was coming packaged with Uncharted 4. Unless you're some sort of savage you can't just jump right into Uncharted 4 without ever having played all the others. Now you see yourself buying the Nathan Drake Collection and spending about 6-12 hours per game just to catch up, alongside playing whatever bundle of titles came with your console.

If you're overwhelmed with your backlog of video games now, be prepared for that to double - if not triple - when or if you decide to get another console.
