10 Horror Video Games That Desperately Need Sequels
7. Clive Barker's Jericho
Author Clive Barker's style of "Are ya scared yet?! No? More gore!" doesn't always work with everyone, but you can't knock the guys' ability to concoct some horrifically mind-boggling creations, the defeating of which in-game is just as fun. For Jericho it was like a mixture of Blade II's macabre visuals and Gears of War's gory combat focus, although with it being in first person you were up-close and personal for every gush of blood and sinew. Switching between team members gave you access to all manner of weapons from dual pistols to sniper rifles, along with each squad member having a plethora of otherwordly powers to tackle the demon horde, such as redirecting bullets in-flight and bursting enemies into flames. The end result was definitely not for everyone - especially if you were a bit squeamish when it comes to The Thing-style overly-contorted creatures - but with its great mix of fun-to-play characters and atmosphere that was like shooting through some demonic nightclub, we wish Barker would recruit a studio for a followup.
