10 Horror Video Games That Desperately Need Sequels

6. Manhunt

Manhunt's a weird entity in 2014, as it feels like it you updated the graphics or controls in any manner past what they were previously, it would kickstart the tabloid headline-machine into a frenzy. Part two had a hard enough time getting through with its Wii motion controls that let you bash a guys' head in with a toilet by acting it out yourself, let alone something like the Oculus Rift seeing any action. Still the big difference between Manhunt and something like the upcoming mum-worrier Hatred, is in the crafting of an entire world of depravity for all the killing to take place. Within the latter you're literally just butchering civilians, whereas with Rockstar's goriest you were taking on rival gangs and paid thugs who were out for your blood, having the occasional gory flourish for the sake of creating a snuff film, but mainly trying to survive. There's definitely scope for another Manhunt depending on how detailed and realistically imitable the kills would be, but an incredibly tense and atmospheric stealth-survival experience would be something we think Rockstar could do very well.
