10 Huge Video Game Sequel Rumours You Need To Know

10. Call Of Duty: World At War 2

There are many Call of Duty fans who regard 2008's World at War as the best in the series, thanks to it delivering an intense story set in World War Two with solid voice-acting from Gary Oldman and Kiefer Sutherland. It was also the first game to introduce the now-infamous Nazi Zombies mode, combining typical COD gameplay with aspects of tower defence and RPGs. So, the lack of continuation in this particular chapter of the series was seen by some as highly disappointing when Treyarch pushed ahead with the Black Ops titles. But an anonymous poster on 4Chan prompted excitement among the World at War fanbase; claiming they worked at Treyarch before being "laid off". The user claimed they'd taken a few files before leaving, including links to early box art, a logo and even an image to be put out on Twitter, promoting an official reveal of World at War 2 on May 4. There's been no official word from Treyarch on the subject since; instead they've only said a new Call of Duty title is being worked on, so until then, people are still confused as to whether it's a hoax they're ignoring, or some truth they don't want to highlight.
