3. Portal 3
No one can argue that Portal took a unique idea and completely made it their own, redefining puzzle games and multiplayer in the process. It's incredibly good fun in both the single player and co-op modes, as it combines a compelling story with fantastic characters. But it's Valve we're talking about here, and to their credit they don't rush into releasing new titles for the sake of it, instead choosing to take their time and deliver something that's as good as it can possibly be. Sure, fans have to wait a while and their expectations go through the roof, but ultimately it's better to wait than
be disappointed (looking at you, Duke Nukem). It was
reported in 2013 that Valve had filed for the 'Portal 3' trademark in Europe; a clear indication that there are plans for the series going forward. So while there is nothing concrete as of yet, it's probably a good sign, and still, imagine Portal 3 on a VR headset - if that doesn't encourage you to wait a few years, then who knows what will.
