10 Huge Video Game Sequel Rumours You Need To Know

4. Fallout 4

The Fallout 4 hype-train rolls on; it's very unlikely Bethesda won't be announcing the game, because it's one of their biggest success stories apart from the Elder Scrolls series. It's just a case of when, and many are pointing to the developer's first ever appearance at E3 in June as them giving fans the thumbs-up. They'll need something special to bring onto the stage after all, and Fallout 4 would dominate the agenda - it's just the perfect timing and occasion. But what is actually known about Fallout 4? Leaked documents pointed fans in the direction of Boston as the most likely setting; the information came from a casting call codenamed 'Institute' and while the scripts contain no reference to Fallout, they do touch upon the characters and themes of the series. The director had also been involved with Bethesda games such as Skyrim, so make of that what you will. The prospect of Boston excites some fans but bothers others and while location is obviously vital to the game's feel, the other game changer is the engine. Fallout's engine was a major downside and if this take on the Fallout world features a new engine, the gaming world is in for a treat.
