10 Iconic Nintendo Games You Must Replay

7. Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen

Before we had 600 or more Pokemon to remember, there was just 151 to catch, and these original titles were probably the most addictive games the Game Boy had ever seen.

Fast forward to the Game Boy Advance and we were reaping the rewards of journeying through Kanto, Johto and Hoenn with new features and characters added with every entry. Something drew us all back to Kanto in particular, however, as Game Freak decided the originals needed revamping and bringing up to speed with the world of 2004.

Eight years is a long time in the gaming industry, and FireRed/LeafGreen took us back to 1996, but gave us everything we ever asked for to make the originals bigger, better and more addictive than ever before - you might've had Pikachu as your trusted companion in Pokemon Yellow, but seeing Charizard animated in all his glory far outstripped the electric mouse this time.

Replay Highlight: After you whoop the Elite Four, you can go back for round two and face much tougher opposition reaching up to level 75. Bring it on, Lance!
