7. Big Daddy

Bioshock will forever be remembered as one of the most satisfyingly rewarding video game series of all time. But, as the years pass without any new content it is in danger of becoming a precious relic. The majority of Bioshock's advertising was based around the formidable Big Daddy - which soon became the franchise's mascot.

The popularity of Big Daddies were the driving force of Bioshock, so much so that players now took control of one in the 2010 sequel. However with the switch in setting in 2013's Bioshock: Infinite to the floating city of Columbia, the Big Daddies were sorely left behind.

Bioshock: Infinite did try and create their own version of a Big Daddy in the form of a Handyman, but they failed to develop a similar impression on gamers and they were overshadowed by the importance of Booker and Elizabeth.

The Big Daddies will always be remembered as one of the most creative and daunting video game enemies of all time. Going toe-to-toe with one of them for the first time was an unforgettable experience. But, the longer the Bioshock series remains untouched the more this mascot fails to matter anymore.
