10 Iconic Video Game Villains RUINED By Developers
6. Firefly - Batman: Arkham
Whilst he has never been one of Batman's most feared adversaries, Firefly has been a thorn in the Dark Knight's side across comic books, television and video games ever since the 1950s. And, ahead of the release of Arkham Origins in 2013, it looked as though this pyromaniac might finally be getting his fair share of the spotlight.
For the presentation of the character and his personality, Warner Bros. Montréal and Rocksteady did a stellar job in reimagining the villain across Batman: Arkham Origins and Batman: Arkham Knight.
Unfortunately, presentation aside, there just isn't a whole lot else the developers put behind Firefly in either entry, especially when compared to others around him. He's decked out with some military-grade equipment and certainly has incentive enough to bring down the Bat, but his fleeting time on screen just sees them more obsessed with starting fires and terrorising Gotham's locals.
For one of the big baddies meant to kickstart a new era of villains for the Arkham series, there was so much more that could have been done with one of DC's untapped gems.
