10 Iconic Video Game Weapons (That Actually Suck)
2. Tactical Nuke - Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
When a video game weapon comes with the description: 'End the game with a bang...", it's almost guaranteed it will go down in history as iconic. The Tactical Nuke was first introduced to the world of Call of Duty following the release of Modern Warfare back in 2009, and is easily the most destructive weapon the series has ever produced.
The weapon is unlocked by players once they hit a 25 player killstreak and, after a ten second countdown reaches zero, will launch a nuclear strike on the entire map that will wipe out every single thing in the server and end the entire match in the favour of whoever launched it.
The weapon has become iconic in the Modern Warfare universe, however there's no denying that it has a serious issue when it comes to actually creating a viable and fun gameplay experience.
Not only is a weapon that suddenly ends the entire game for everyone without them being able to muster up anything in response a problem, but the Tactical Nuke really sucks because it essentially stops the most successful players as they hit full flow.
Chances are that once a player gets over the initial novelty of dropping their very own nuke, they're not going to be too keen on anything that cuts short a game where they're on such a hot streak to begin with.
