PS VR's launch is incredibly close (October 13th, in case you've missed it) and with most of the launch titles having already been revealed, it's time to start looking ahead. Simply put, there are a number of video games out there that are already perfect fits for the immersive worlds that VR gaming can create.

Be it the incredibly well-realised and deep worlds crafted by Bethesda, or taking a familiar game and changing the viewpoint to suit, tons of game worlds, narratives and game mechanics would benefit hugely from sticking the player right in the centre of the action.

Huge titles like Batman and Resident Evil have already made the jump, proving there is definitely a space and desire for these big named games. So which iconic titles would be a perfect fit? Which massive names would make for the best virtual reality playgrounds?

Having seen what they bring to the table in the regular gaming space, these franchises should absolutely come to PS VR in the future.

10. Battlefield

Battlefield 1
DICE

First-person games are a natural fit for virtual reality anyway, dropping you right into the action from your viewpoint, and DICE are striving to make Battlefield one of the prettiest shooters around, meaning all the explosions and carnage happening right in front of you would be a treat for your eyes.

However, Battlefield in particular has greater reason to be in VR than other military shooters, like Call of Duty. Battlefield's colossal maps are just begging to be explored in virtual reality and the numerous vehicles lend themselves to the hardware too. Many of PS VR's launch titles have the player inside a cockpit of sorts, so flying Battlefield's planes and driving the tanks would work like a charm. Best of all however is the novelty of the huge war playing out around you - simply look up and you'd see a dogfight unfolding before you in the sky before it lights up in a violent explosion.

Sounds awesome, right? While this entry focussed on Battlefield, the same can easily be said for DICE's other franchise, Battlefront. Plus, Star Wars.
