10 Iconic Video Games That Must Come To PlayStation VR
1. No Man's Sky
It's well-known that No Man's Sky was generally lambasted across the industry for being a huge disappointment, but adapting NMS would bring about the biggest transformation.
While VR wouldn't fix all of No Man's Sky's problems (not by a long shot), it would make for a far more immersive and engrossing experience overall.
One aspect of No Man's Sky that did manage to deliver was the seamless and gorgeous sensation of space flight (as long as the game didn't crash). The luminous backdrops and colossal planets make for absolutely amazing views, and seeing all of that from your very own cockpit would be mind-blowing.
Bear in mind as well, that cockpits are proving to generally work very well in combating VR sickness, so that's a bonus!
Soaring above a planet so enormous that it fills your entire field of vision, blasting down through a planet's atmosphere without so much as a hitch and scooting across the planet's (probably very rocky) surface would all look incredible inside the headset. Engaging in dogfights might also prove more intuitive using head-tracking to aim, rather than the clunky controls we have right now. Hell, even landing on a planet and looking up at the starry sky would be a delight in VR.
No Man's Sky might have disappointed many, but VR has the power to turn the ordinarily mundane into the suddenly spectacular. With the headset on, No Man's Sky might just benefit the most.
