10 Important Life Lessons Learned From Video Games

This is a profound lesson that games teach, though not all are willing to listen. Teamwork is a vital skill that every individual needs in order to succeed, without it the drama will ruin any project. The difficult part of cooperation is that it often requires the individual to let go of their pride. It's somewhat easy to ignore this in life, but in many games the player has no chance to win without cooperating (especially MMOs). It's a challenge to learn this skill, but once learned it makes the experience extremely enjoyable. Especially when one learns to celebrate a team player's victory as if it was the victory of the whole team. To find joy in helping the other score. To give up the controller in a single-player, and not backseat drive. To be respectful to fellow gamers, and make many friends along the way. These are skill sets desired by employers; A life lesson that potentially sticks with a gamer long after they set down the controller.
