10 Incredible Details You Missed In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom
1. Koume And Kotake Make Their Mark
There are plenty of recurring characters in the Legend of Zelda series, but one particularly powerful pair is the duo collectively known as Twinrova, separately named Koume and Kotake.
These two are the surrogate mothers of the Gerudo King Ganondorf, and they've appeared in plenty of games, including Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and Oracle of Ages/Seasons, usually in their elderly witch forms.
However, the duo have also made their presence known to the modern world, as they appear in Tears of the Kingdom, albeit in an incredibly brief blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo.
During the "A Show of Fealty" memory, the mothers of Ganondorf can be spotted kneeling behind their son. It's easy to miss as they are never specifically identified. However, the fabrics on their shoulders have their names written on them in Ocarina of Time's Hylian writing, proving that it's them. Additionally, both have teeny tiny gems on their foreheads that correspond with their blue and red colour schemes.
This isn't even the only reference to them in the game, as Phantom Ganon and regular Ganon hold weapons with their names engraved on them. Aww, Ganondorf may be a vile villain, but at least he loves his mums.
