The dreaded game over screen is something no gamer ever wants to get familiar with, but something they all must. Tears of the Kingdom has one that everyone has seen. However, did you notice that it changes if you perish under specific circumstances?

TOTK's game over screen typically displays red text announcing that your game is over. However, you can receive two additional flavors, one yellow and one blue. To get the regular red screen, you simply need to die in a standard way, be it death by monster, falling, or any other grievous bodily harm.

However, you will see yellow text if you die at the hands of electricity, whether it be a thunderbolt, an electrical weapon, or an electrical monster attack. Expect to see it a lot when fighting the Thunder Gleeok for the first time.

Then there is the light blue text, which appears if you die by exposure to the cold, drowning, or freezing attacks. If it has something to do with water or cold, you'll see blue.

This unique detail actually carries over from Breath of the Wild. Of course, if you haven't noticed it yet, you must be doing alright in the game. Good job!
