10 Incredible RPGs You Probably Missed

8. Chronicle Of The Radia War (PC)

39af879d-9e35-42f9-a079-5d55b35d029b By this point you probably figure most of these games will be on the Super Nintendo, but here€™s one that originally was released in Japan for the PC. The advantage with this game though is that most computers these days can easily run it and you can even pick up multiple fan translations from Japanese to English (which is what I did). This RPG is one of those action based ones, similar to Legend of Zelda. And comparing it to Zelda would probably seem like a bad thing since most people don€™t think many RPGs can live up to Zelda but this one truly provides a great fantasy story, and some fun boss battles. The story arc is actually similar to Final Fantasy 10 in some ways (connected with dreams and reality) but avoids some of the awkward moments from that game. This game is often less known because it only ever had a Japanese language release in retail, since then it's received the anime/manga fan treatment and gotten some English translations for it, which has allowed it to at least reach some more audiences. Unfortunately that also means you might not get the best of translations, but these were devoted fans that put the work into it so that more people can experience an awesome and well done role-playing game. So if you at all loved any of the Legend of Zelda games or Final Fantasy X, this RPG is one you should be picking up as well, especially since you can find it for pretty cheap these days (or get it from a friend who might have it). And overlook the cliché opening of the character has amnesia, the story does get better than that.
