10 Incredible Star Wars Video Games That Desperately Deserve Sequels

5. Empire At War

One of the few real-time strategy games to release under the Star Wars licence, Empire at War charged players with commanding their own Imperial fleet with the intent of crushing the Rebellion and restoring 'peace and order' to the galaxy. Its scale was enormous, but that only meant that the skirmishes it created felt more authentic. There's definitely a place for a strategy game in the current line-up of Star Wars titles yet to come, and there's a home for one on both consoles and PCs alike. As Halo Wars proved six years ago, there's clearly an audience for RTSs in the console market - a Star Wars one would probably experience even more success. Better still, taking the Imperial motif from the first game and transfixing it to The First Order would be the perfect visual update to keep the franchise fresh and innovative for the newest generation of Star Wars fans, and would provide the perfect video-game accompaniment to the slew of films coming out in the coming years. After all, one can never have too many Star Wars games.
