10 Incredible Video Game Characters Who Only Appeared In ONE Game
6. Fenris - Dragon Age II
Dragon Age II is easily the most divisive Dragon Age game of the three. It stripped away a lot of the old school RPG features from Origins and featured too many identical dungeons filled with fetch quests. However, the slick characterisation and arguably the most memorable crew means it isn’t universally panned.
Leaving the gameplay aside, Fenris was certainly a great character in the Dragon Age franchise. Varric, Isabela, Hawke, Cassandra, Merrill and Anders are all pretty good too, but each either feature in Origins or Inquisition as well, and therefore disqualify themselves.
It’s not to say Fenris is the winner by default, but it certainly didn’t hurt that most of his Dragon Age competition were sidelined.
A former Tevinter slave, he’s a man of honour moulded by his time in chains. Though he’s a warrior with a blood soaked history, his heart hasn’t hardened, and he becomes one of Hawke’s most trusted alies. He can be very cold, especially toward Mages, but is not unduly cruel or stoic. Getting to know Fenris brings him out of his shell and lets you meet one of Dragon Age’s most interesting characters.
