10 Incredible Video Game Levels Set At Christmas
9. All Of Batman: Arkham Origins
It might seem a bit cheap to put an entire game as an entry here, but trust me, as time has gone on it only becomes more and more clear that we need to give Arkham Origins more love than it received upon its release. I get it, it wasn't the same as the prior two games, and yes the tone did dip from time to time with its obsession with Joker being at the centre of everything, always, all the time.
We get it. He's marketable.
HOWEVER, you can't deny the sheer joy of gliding around Gotham on Christmas Eve like you're some sort of Dark Knight Bat-Santa who is doling out red and bloody noses to all the deer in the headlights goons that stand in his way.
Witnessing the panic as a thug in a Santa hat flails pathetically against your bone-crunching Krampus of Justice is a sight to behold, and the overall bleakness generated by the squalor and snow combined makes for an atmosphere that feels oppressive.
With all the screams of Batman's foes filling the air, this isn't going to be a Silent Night, just a Dark Knight.
