10 Incredible Video Games With Weak Final Acts

6. Far Cry 3

FINAL FANTASY XV
Ubisoft

Far Cry 3 is the most iconic and popular title in the series and it owes a huge part of that reputation to one of its primary antagonists, Vaas Montenegro.

Vaas is also the reason why, even though the first half of the game is an absolutely incredible experience, most people don't really have much to say about the second part.

Although Vaas is the face of Far Cry 3 and nearly all of the game's most memorable moments can be traced to him, he actually serves as an antagonist for less than half of it. You kill him before you even leave the first island, and after that, the plot (and your interest) pretty much derails itself.

Since Vaas serves so many different roles in the first half, acting as the island's boogeyman, your nemesis, and also your motivation to keep fighting, once he's gone, you can't help but feel like there's not much left to care about.

The de facto main villain, Hoyt, doesn't leave nearly as big of an impression, and you honestly don't have the same kind of drive to defeat him as you did with Vaas.

The true definition of insanity is removing your lead villain halfway through the game!
