10 Incredible Video Games With Weak Final Acts
2. Baldur's Gate 3
Baldur's Gate 3 has received so many awards, including Game of the Year, that you'd think it's a flawless masterpiece. However, while it's definitely worthy of all the praise it's getting, even the most die-hard fans of the game will tell you that it has one blatantly obvious problem—its third act.
It's a common agreement among Baldur's Gate 3's playerbase that the final act is the weakest. Although it's almost as long as the first two acts, it lacks the amount of content and variety you find in the beginning.
Most quests feel more linear than usual, there's a smaller variety of things to do, and most of the overarching questlines (like your companion's personal missions) are resolved so hastily that you almost don't realize they're over.
Now to be fair, as of 2024, Larian is still releasing patches that flesh out their game. But, as it stands, act 3 feels like a watered-down version of the incredible experience you find throughout most of your playthrough.
It's almost as weak as Orin, and that's saying something, considering she also needed a patch to make her a more competent boss.
