10 Infamous Glitches That Break Classic Games

9. Wavedashing (Super Smash Bros. Melee)

Wavedashing isn€™t actually a glitch; it€™s a physics exploits that allows players to dodge attacks more affectively and perform stationary attacks whilst sliding back and forth. The move itself can be performed by jumping and immediately air dodging into the ground, allowing players to shield themselves and sidestep potential attacks whilst in motion, something that was not intended to be possible. The reason wavedashing is on this list is because it€™s an incredibly divisive ability, an ability which unnecessarily distances beginners from veterans and generally makes Super Smash Bros. Melee less accessible to the former. It€™s also something that the developers hadn€™t predicted, and while that alone doesn€™t make wavedashing a glitch necessarily, it still makes it painfully annoying and unfair.
