A glitch that utilised certain terrain flaws, super bouncing was a big problem for online players of Halo 2 back in the day. The glitch was performed by crouching in specific areas of certain maps during a multiplayer game, thus desynchronising the players. Once desynchronised which would appear as though the game were lagging it was possible for players to propel themselves far higher into the air than would normally be possible, so much so that the glitch would often result in death. However, when performed correctly, the glitch would allow players to reach certain advantage points, allowing them to neatly pick off other players with a trusty sniper rifle from above. If the jump was performed just right, it was even possible to perform what was known as a monster bounce, which would propel the player to astronomical heights, sending them half way across the map in the blink of an eye. Naturally, this was a huge nuisance for online players, so much so that the glitch was removed from the PC version of Halo 2 to try and create a more balanced online experience. Interestingly enough however, the glitch is still possible in Halo: The Master Chief Collection, though thankfully it appears online far less frequently.
