Is it me, or were GTA games a hell of a lot harder back in the San Andreas days? Makes sense, really, considering the steady simplification of AAA games over the years, but even for its time, San Andreas had one mission that stood out for its sheer annoyance factor, leading to walls being dented and controllers being patched back together using heavy-duty brown or silver tape. The mission in question is called Supply Lines, where you (try to) use a remote-control plane to fly around San Fierro and take out delivery vans using a pair of onboard machine guns. The useless little plane controls terribly, is prone to blowing up, and, worst of all, only has a limited amount of fuel to run on. Since when was fuel a factor in the GTA series?! And why, of all the times to implement it, would you put it in a mission that's already such a nightmare to complete? There are few things more deflating in games than doing everything you need to complete a mission (after several gruelling attempts), then upon heading back to pick up your reward, but knowing that you're going to fail because of a little technicality like running out of fuel. Even though you know you're not going to make it back, you still pray for a miracle and keep flying, wasting precious minutes on a lost cause as you'll inevitably need to do the mission again and again before eventually going flying into that all-too-familiar state of game-rage... Which video game moments made you throw your arms up in anguish and you controller at the screen? Let us know in the comments!
