5. Zelda: Swastika Maps
The Zelda series is the second most popular retro gaming series, second only to Super Mario. Since the Legend of Zelda was released back in the 1980's fans have continuously glamored for next installment of Link's adventures to save Zelda from Gannon. Created by Shigeru Miyamoto, arguably the best game designer in the world, having created both the Zelda and Mario Bros series as well as Pikmin, F-Zero, Starfox and the Wii series games. When the original Legend of Zelda was released, it defied categorization, as both a Role Playing Game, and Action/Adventure game at the same time. Needless to say, the game was a success, selling 6.5 Million copies, as well as spawning sequels and re-releases. However, the Legend of Zelda is said to have a secret to it, as all the level maps take different shapes, according to some fans of the game. In pictures that surfaced around the internet, level maps were revealed to look like different things, one map was an eagle, another a lion, another a snake, and one looks like a Swastika. Yes, that's right folks, The Legend of Zelda has a Swastika as one of the maps, trying to subliminally impose Nazi ideology in gamers minds as they try and rescue Zelda. The revelation of the Nazi map understandably caused outrage as many parents demanded the Legend of Zelda be pulled off the shelves for supporting a symbol with such an evil ideology. Many photos have surfaced on the internet which clearly show the overview of the map, so there is no real denial of this theory, apart from the fact that it's the wrong way around. While some would say it's a copy and imitation is the most sincerest form of flattery, others will note that the Swastika map isn't a Swastika at all but a Manji, which is a Bhuddist symbol for wishing good fortune.
