10 Insane Metal Gear Solid V Rumours That Just Might Be True

2. "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" Will Be The End Credits Music

EMIEMIThe Rumour: Alright, so this has mostly been a playful joke kicked around the Internet so far, but wouldn't it be ridiculously cool if the end credits music for The Phantom Pain were a section from Pink Floyd's epic classic, Shine On You Crazy Diamond? Considering the game revolves around Diamond Dogs, Big Boss plans to transform the remains of the fallen soldiers into diamonds, and the fact that diamonds can be picked up from around the map to upgrade Mother Base, wouldn't this just be a wonderfully apt note on which to end the game? How Likely Is It? Not very. Kojima clearly has a twisted sense of humour and is a fan of Western music (he originally wanted David Bowie's Space Oddity and Ashes to Ashes to play over the credits of MGS3), but for starters, gaining clearance for Pink Floyd's music is notoriously difficult, so even if he were so inclined, he might have to settle for a cover version. Given how many songs he could possibly pick, it's certainly not likely, but far from impossible. 3/10.
