10 Insane Xbox One Problems Microsoft Should Have Solved By Now

9. Playing Local Media Files

The Xbox One is constantly being flogged as an 'all-in-one' entertainment system. Why then, is it not possible to just plug in a USB flash drive, and play some totally legal downloaded video files, or browse through your grandma's holiday photos? This was a feature present in the Xbox 360, which made it easy to browse and play local media, and there doesn't seem to be any good reason for why the same functionality hasn't always existed in the Xbox One. Fortunately, Microsoft are planning to roll out the functionality at some point this month to early access users, although it's still unknown when it will be officially appearing in the main OS. While it's good to see that we'll soon be able to play media via USB, it's also insane that it could be a year after launch that the feature is finally unlocked.
