10 Insanely Awful Video Games In Famous Franchises

1. Street Fighter: The Movie

So it's a game, about a movie, about a game. That's either an ingenious piece of meta-design or just a sign that Capcom were having a bit of a creative meltdown (which they've been known to do) when they conceived this anomaly. There's something undeniably funny about the whole spectacle, as all the lovely pixel-art visuals of the previous Street Fighter games are replaced here by comically terrible digitised sprites of the actors from the movie. But hey, at least you get to play as Jean-Claude Van Damme, so that's something, right? Not when the resulting game has shocking collision detection, terrible music, and unresponsive controls like this. Besides, the Street Fighter Movie was something that didn't become appreciated until recent years, when it finally earned the credit it deserves as a 'It's so bad it's good' game. At the time, the movie was universally panned, so how did Capcom think this was every going to fly? Hang on, I take that back. These are the people who brought us Dino Crisis 3 and Operation Raccoon City - of course they'll release a game not worthy of its own franchise... What games have you played that were so bad that they had no right existing in your favourite franchises? Let us know with a comment!
