Anyone who is aware of this game pre-Switch, ie. on PC, knows that there are certain fundamentals about Warframe.
The first is that, similarly to the rule of Fight Club, you don’t talk about it. At least, you don’t talk about the story. So don’t worry about any story spoilers from me as my lips are firmly sealed.
The next fundamental truth about this game is that it's incredibly graphically demanding, enough so to give any mediocre graphics card a run for its money. So, the fact that it’s able to run on the Switch, and run well no less, is an incredible testament to Digital Extremes for optimising this game so well.
You’re thrown directly into this world with little explanation, making it perfect for people who like to be challenged. It reminds me a little of Dark Souls: the story is vague, but you can discover more as you explore the vast world, or vast galaxy in Warframe’s case. The combat system is incredible and the transfer to Switch barely changes things, though this game will put you through turmoil as you become the unstoppable killing-machine it wants you to be. The multiplayer options make this easily one of the best co-op games going on the Switch to date.
