10 Insulting Video Game Achievements That 'Reward' You For Sucking

Though the earlier Crash Bandicoot games were deceptively difficult (which a lot of people rediscovered when they picked the N. Sane Trilogy up looking for a nostalgia hit and got kicked in the arse instead), the objectives in each level were always straightforward.

In Crash 2, you had to get through each level without losing your lives, nab the crystal at the end, and bring it back to Cortex. Rinse and repeat, fight a few bosses, and finish the game. Even better, the crystal in question was almost always right in front of your eyes, on the one main path, and required little skill to acquire.

Put simply, it was more impressive to miss the item than to actually grab it.

This all leads to the "Cortex N. Furiated" achievement, which you unlock by missing the crystal three times in the first Warp Room, much to the anguished disbelief of the mad scientist.
