10 Intense Video Game Multiplayer Modes You Won't Survive
6. Twitch Mode - Warhammer: Vermintide 2
Since Left for Dead 3 doesn't seem like it's ever going to happen, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 has happily stepped up to the plate to become the best PVE action game around. Like Valve's franchise, this sequel sees four players team up to tackle missions, as they battle their way through hordes of enemies and special sub-bosses, with a bunch of different characters and abilities that allow each member of the party to compliment the rest.
It's already pretty darn hard, but the real masochism comes with the Twitch Mode. As the title suggests, this is primarily for streamers who want to get their audience involved in the experience. When playing in these special lobbies, the chat will actually gain control of key moments and vote on alterations to the session, for instance deciding which abilities to give players, or more nefariously, where to add more enemies and which player to hit with de-buffs.
Consequently, you're essentially at the whims of these viewers, and if they want to make your life a total hell, they have the means to do so.
