10 Intimidating Video Game Bosses That Can Be Killed In One Hit
2. Ancient Wyvern - Dark Souls 3
An optional boss found on Archdragon Peak in Dark Souls 3, the Ancient Wyvern is one of the largest and most imposing enemies in the entire series. A multi-part fight that has you battling your way throughout the bulk of the area and up to a high vantage point, the majority of the engagement isn't spent actually attacking the boss itself, but dodging fireballs and fending off against other undead underlings.
You can opt to take the dragon on mano-a-mano, but only the very best of the best will be able to chip away at its health without either being burned alive or swarmed from every angle by the other enemies in the area. Instead, it's a better option to ignore the boss entirely, fight your way around the level and only deliver a blow when he's positioned directly below you.
If you time if right, you can perform a plunging attack on the dragon's head and take him out with a single swing of your sword. Some Dark Souls fans might say this is cheesing the encounter, but it's probably the way 99% of players managed to get through this optional boss without throwing the controller at the wall.
