8. Iwajira - Borderlands The Pre-Sequel

The criminally overlooked Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, despite being spearheaded by a different developer than the main-series instalments, wasn't lacking when it came to the amount of inventive enemies that were crammed into the game.

However, while you take on many a monster throughout the title's campaign, when players came across the gigantic Iwajira, a ferocious corrosive Kraggan that lies at the heart of a hidden cavern near Serenity's Waste, it was obvious this was going to be the game's final challenge.

Literally named after Godzilla, the secret boss is incredibly powerful, being able to easily one-shot you if you fight him head on, but there's a secret weapon you can pull out to take down the giant with one hit. With a few melee buffs and, essentially, The Inflammable Shooter Star shield that gives you a huge increase in damage against raid bosses when depleted, you can wipe Iwajira off the face of the earth with a single punch.

Equip everything you need, take out a few of his minions to power up your abilities and then let the boss hit you once you're close. When your shield bursts, counter with your own melee attack and watch the monster explode into a thousand gory pieces.
