10 Intimidating Video Game Bosses With The Strangest Weak Spots
4. Shao Kahn - Mortal Kombat II
Every iteration of Mortal Kombat's big bad has been pretty darn intimidating and, for the most part, is the most challenging opponent in the entire game. Happily, we no longer have to feed precious currency into an arcade machine for the right to face off with Shao Kahn but there are plenty of gamers who perhaps lament investing so much into Mortal Kombat II - adjusted for inflation, you could probably buy an Aston!
No matter the platform the game was played on, Shao Kahn is easily the cause of many a broken controller with his fierce fighting style undoing even the most focused, disciplined combo masters and since his arrival in MK II; he has been an enduring part of the franchise that simply will not stay down.
Based on this description, you might be under the impression that Shao Kahn cannot have any weakness, weird or otherwise, but even the titan of Outworld has his vulnerabilities.
Chief among them: the uppercut.
In such an iconic beat-em-up, you would expect the biggest, baddest of them all to require careful planning and studious work to pick apart his fists of fury but this couldn't be further from the truth... repeatedly jumping, ducking and firing in a load of uppercuts takes Shao Kahn down in seconds.
It's cheap but weirdly effective, so it counts.
