Pokemon is over two decades old. You'd think by now, that any Trainer worth their salt would know the basics of how to win in a match of make-believe animal cruelty. But no, back to novice status us old cronies must go with every new iteration.
The counterargument to this hand-holding is, of course, that new players join the fold of any long-lasting franchise with each instalment, but that doesn't mean seasoned veterans shouldn't be able to skip past the laborious process.
