10 Items That BROKE Video Games
1. Dragon's Tooth Sword - Deus Ex
The Dragon's Tooth Sword is the resident laser sword of Deus Ex. Developed in Hong Kong by the evil corporation at the center of the game's narrative, the Dragon Tooth Sword resembles a feudal-era Chinese sword, with a decorated hilt that projects a nanotech blade.
So it's basically a lightsaber.
And, appropriately, it is also obscenely powerful.
A single strike with the sword inflicts 100 damage - enough to kill most enemies in one hit. With the right character build, it can inflict as much as 340 damage per hit. To say it's overkill would be the world's greatest understatement. Even if you aren't playing a melee build, you want to keep this thing on you.
Oh and did we mention that it isn't even a secret? Nope, the Dragon's Tooth Sword is practically gift wrapped for you as part of the game's main quest line.
From that point on you can just sneak around, jumping out of the shadows to slice and dice some of the game's strongest enemies to bits in a single breath. Even on a non-lethal play through, robotic enemies, at least, will never bother you again.
