6. Nintendo: All The Characters Live In The Same World

Nintendo have been referred to as 'the Pixar of gaming' multiple times, but another similarity that ties the two companies together is the fan-theory that all of their works are in the same universe.

Even though it's easy to look at something like Super Smash Bros. and assume it's just an excuse to throw every single known character together for a giant mash-up, what if this was the showdown for the ages of every character, battling it out to save their universe?

This very elaborate theory goes into an incredible amount of detail about how a Nintendo universe was created from scratch by Zelda's goddess Hylia. It then sprouted life that would become Pokémon - who would then gradually become more intelligent Planet of the Apes-style, turning into the Animal Crossing series.
