10 Last-Gen Video Games That Need To Be Remastered

8. Katamari Forever (2009)

Metal Gear Solid 4
Namco

Bright, colorful, and zany, Katamari Forever would look fantastic with a fresh coat of paint and some new hardware on which to run.

Katamari Damasi was a colorful, outrageously fun PS2 game centered around a cosmic prince's quest to fix his father's galactic foul-ups. By forming star matter out of whatever objects can be absorb by the prince's ever-expanding ball, players were essentially tasked with repairing the cosmos by destroying the earth, and it was a total blast.

There have been a ton of Katamari games released over the years, but, aside from offbeat mobile spin-offs, there hasn't been a significant release since 2011. In order to fill the void, it would be a great idea for Bandai Namco to remaster the original game. Series creator Keita Takahashi has even announced that he would like to produce a remastered version, though it seems that legal issues will continue to make that an impossibility.

The original game was vibrant and full of life, and it would be a beautiful thing to see running in HD clarity. Unfortunately, the only way to achieve that as of right now would be by way of an emulator.
