10 Last-Gen Video Games That Need To Be Remastered
7. Drakengard 3 (2013)
Older than - yet made famous by - its spin-off series Nier, the Drakengard series is a bizarre trilogy of action RPGs that are distinctly Japanese. They got their start during the early days of the PlayStation 2, and the most recent title was made available just as the lifespan of the PlayStation 3 was coming to a close in 2013.
The third Drakengard title flew under the radars of many unfamiliar with the series as it was a seventh-generation exclusive in a time during which everyone was preparing to make the jump to the PS4 and Xbox One. However, since the series, along with its creator Taro Yoko, have ties to the extremely successful Nier: Automata, it wouldn't be a bad idea for Square Enix to remaster one of that game's spiritual predecessors.
Ideally Square would see fit to revamp the whole series and bring it over to modern hardware, but they may have their hands full with the third entry into the Tomb Raider Reboot series at present.
