10 Laziest Super Mario Boss Fights Of All Time

2. Bowser - New Super Mario Bros.

Nintendo

There is probably no video game franchise that has paid homage more to the original game than Super Mario. Sadly, Nintendo can rely on this nostalgia like a crutch. Whether you're flying through space or scaling walls as a cat, you know nearly every Mario game is going to have Goombas, Mushrooms, and rescuing the princess from a castle.

In Super Mario Bros., every World concludes with battling Bowser on a bridge. If you grab the axe on the other side, the bridge will collapse, ending the fight.

To pay tribute to this iconic confrontation, Nintendo have recycled it countless times. At a certain point, redoing this battle stopped being nostalgic and started being lazy. The worst offender has to be the final boss of New Super Mario Bros. which, once again, takes place on a lava bridge that collapses if the switch on the side is pressed. Bowser Jr. helps out his old man during the brawl and Bowser breathes a few more fireballs than usual but it's the same strategy in essence.

What's worse is that it's possible to defeat him in three seconds!! Three seconds is too short for any boss, especially one that serves as the main antagonist.
