10 Loveable Video Games That HATE You

1. Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time

Look, Crash, we love you. Why do you keep doing this to us?

Everyone's favourite zany, trouser-wearing marsupial, Crash Bandicoot, is in the middle of a resurgence. After being the king of the 90s, poor Crash was shunted to the side for a while; it was his reintroduction in the N Sane Trilogy that brought him spinning back into our lives, and it was like the loveable buffoon had never been away.

Fast forward to 2020, and we FINALLY have a full, new Crash game to play. However, despite being well-put together and as fun as the originals, Crash 4: It's About Time is absolutely rock hard. It seems the developers studied Crash Bandicoot 1 (well renowned as the hardest in the series) for their level design, and then decided how they could make it even more difficult.

If you're a completionist, you're in for a bumpy ride on this one. Good luck getting through all the levels without dying at speed to get all those platinum relics!

We still can't help but love it though. The game itself is popping with detail throughout and Crash and his family of chums have never been so well-realised as they have in this title.
