3. Super Meat Boy
He's a tiny cube of meat on a mission to rescue his love. Of course, you'll need to die at least a million times to have a chance of doing that!
This is a game which even has a world entitled 'Hell'. It couldn't be more right in that description. These levels will test your skills to the highest levels, and that's even before you get to the dark world level variants, which are even harder!
Super Meat Boy is the right up there with the pinnacle of not only the most difficult platformers created, but also one of the hardest games ever created too. It wears this fact proudly on its sleeve; death comes fast and frequently, but the game compensates for this by throwing you almost instantly back into the action. It's basically standing next to you, poking you with a stick and going 'go on, try again. You can do it!'
That's why despite Super Meat Boy being so hard you'll probably lose most of your hair from tearing it out, we just simply can't help but love it, despite how much it really hates us!
