You know the situation, your low on health, behind enemy lines, and you’ve got no cover. We've all been there, however, while this doesn't seem ideal, this one magical item could save your day. The instant fortress is exactly what it sounds like, a small cube that instantly grows into a fortress when a command word is spoken. Honestly, this thing is amazing.

The towers floor space takes up 20ft by 20ft and is 30ft high. Two floors surrounded by Adamantium walls and roof will envelop your party, and while in here you can engage the enemy through arrow slits in the walls or from the roof. The door is virtually impenetrable and cannot even be opened with the knock spell. The roof, door, and walls each have 100 hit points, which coupled with immunity to non-magical attacks and resistance to all other damage, means you’ve got one secure little fort.

There are a few downsides even to this behemoth though. First of all, don’t be near it when it expands as it will smack you out the way and deal bludgeoning damage. Secondly, it is very hard to get repaired, as the only way this great fortress can be patched up is through the wish spell and trust me, those aren’t that easy to come by. Either way, it’s still something every party should try to get.
