10 Major Fallout 4 Problems The Fans Won’t Admit

1. It's All Just Far Too Boring

For all of Fallout's technical issues or poor development choices, one major problem stands out above all else: it's stupendously boring. While I could easily sink hour after hour into Fallout 3 or Skyrim, Bethesda's latest offering just doesn't have the same draw.

We've already talked about how uninspiring the main narrative thread is, but with the exception of blind exploration there isn't really anything to keep you going. The various factions offer virtually nothing engaging short of heading to a new location and blasting your way through waves of enemies, and even the secrets to be found are boring compared to those of older Fallout games.

The Fallout formula has been followed with this latest instalment, but it almost feels as if Bethesda stuck too closely to the beaten track. Several reviewers pointed out how this felt more like 'Fallout 3.5' than Fallout 4, and that criticism is very well-founded when you consider how little has been added to the tried and tested recipe. Fallout 4 is a good way to experience more of the same, but we all know the saying about having "too much of a good thing", don't we?

Have we missed any of your Fallout 4 gripes here? Let us know what you think is the game's biggest problem in the comments below!
