10 Major Fallout 4 Problems The Fans Won’t Admit
5. The Power Armour Mechanics Are Frustrating
Power Armour in older Fallout games has been something to seek out and strive for. It was like the Holy Grail of armour items for players to get their hands on, and the rewards for getting hold of it were more than fitting enough for the challenge.
In Fallout 4, however, the first suit of Power Armour is given to the player within the first few hours. From here, new suits can be picked up and discovered just by stumbling through the wasteland and sticking a fusion core in their back. Within four hours of play, I already had three full sets laid out for me at Sanctuary.
While I don't have a problem with the new vehicular style of the Power Armour in the game, the regularity with which the suits appear is far more troubling. Limiting their use with fusion cores is a useful enough mediation, but even these are just as common once you know where to look.
It reached a point were I could send virtually all of my companions into battle in suits of Power Armour as well, making a once legendary item for the series feel superfluous and ordinary.
